Monthliv Hosts 22nd Business Seminar Covering Goshiwon and Hostel Business Structures, Revenue Models, and Operations

SeminarMay 22, 2026

Monthliv regularly hosts business seminars for prospective entrepreneurs considering goshiwon, hostel, and urban residence businesses.

Held on May 12 at the DoklipLife Operations Center in Hanam Misa, the 22nd Monthliv Business Seminar focused on helping prospective goshiwon and hostel entrepreneurs explore a business direction that fits their goals, based on real operating cases. A total of 13 prospective entrepreneurs attended the seminar. Going beyond a simple brand introduction, the session carefully covered key topics that should be reviewed before starting a business, including location analysis, space planning, permits and licensing, initial investment costs, operating methods, and revenue structures.

During the seminar, participants actively raised practical questions that often come up in the actual startup process. Topics included building requirements for opening a goshiwon or hostel, the possibility of operating in commercial buildings or mixed-use complexes, the need for a separate entrance, minimum space and room requirements, issues related to protected zones, and tax handling. There was also strong interest in revenue models, including startup costs, expected returns, co-investment structures, investment recovery, and exit strategies.

After the seminar, five participants from the 22nd session joined the Monthliv Startup Club, a follow-up group for seminar attendees, where discussions continued on startup consulting, co-investment opportunities, and potential development sites.

Based on its experience operating residence and hostel brands, Monthliv has built extensive know-how across the development and operation of accommodation and residential spaces, including space planning, sales channel management, reservations, and check-in operations. At the seminar, Monthliv shared real revenue and vacancy data from its operating locations, along with the automated systems and operational know-how it has developed and verified through the direct development of 29 locations. After the seminar, Monthliv also provides one-on-one consulting tailored to each participant’s business conditions and investment budget, helping them build a personalized startup roadmap.

Monthliv will continue to operate regular seminars and one-on-one consulting programs to help prospective entrepreneurs define a startup direction that fits their goals and circumstances.

The Monthliv Business Seminar is held on the second Tuesday of every month at 3:00 p.m. at the Doklip Life Operations Center in Hanam Misa, and on the fourth Tuesday of every month at 3:00 p.m. at Sangsang Planet in Seongsu.
